UAMS BSN Summer 2014

For anyone who has applied to the UAMS BSN program that begins in Summer 2014 or anyone who is currently in and/or has completed the program. I have applied and am currently going through the process. UAMS has contacted me for an interview next week. Does anyone have any insight on this? Or those who wish to just discuss the program or wait out the acceptance process feel free to join in.

Me too..... I feel like the uncoordinated kid that gets picked last in gym class. LOL

I'm still waiting, also. I think the best is being saved for last. Or they can't process all the apps at once. Also, most applicants aren't posting here so maybe most applicants are waiting, we have no way of knowing. In the meanwhile, no letter is also good because a letter could be a rejection letter.

Keep the Faith!! I am still praying for all of you!! When I spoke to them they said that they were sending letters out in several waves and the last will be around mid april!! Keep your heads high!!

Hi everyone! I have been following this thread for a while. I got my acceptance letter about three weeks ago and I am so very excited for May to get here!!! Just an update they are starting to send out some rejection letters along with the remaining acceptance letters, unfortunately one of my friends who applied with me received a rejection this past weekend. Fingers crossed for the people who are still waiting. On a different note I could use some input from you guys. I have just bought an iPad to use for school/clinicals and would like to know of any great apps anyone else has come across.

Hey all! I'm currently in Little Rock looking for housing, I am coming from out of state so I'm not very familiar with the area. Has anyone heard of Arbors of Pleasant Valley Apartments? Seemed fairly nice when I looked at it today but I was curious if anyone had any experience? Also does anyone have any recommendations for housing? I'm looking for 2 or 3 bed and 2 bath for ~$1K-1100 a month.

Hey scrubs...check out the fountaine bleu apartments in NLR...they are very nice, gated community, very upscale, but also features most utilities included in the rent. In little rock there is a place called The Pointe at Brodie Creek...I used to live there! It's really nice and it's in WLR and most all utilities are included. Let me know if you check them out! Bsnbound...i also got an iPad and got a keyboard case for classes! I have lots of medical apps, but the main ones I purchased or downloaded for school was Medscape, Nclex Mastery, and a Drug calculations app. If anyone else knows of any good ones let me know!

Also, I think your idea of making a Facebook page, so we can get to know each other, is a great idea!

I created the group on FB! It's called UAMS BSN Juniors 2014 ??

I made it public (so anyone can search for it and add themselves or others) until we get more people on there, then we can "close" the group so it can be more private. I hope this helps!! I can't post the link on here (on my phone) but let me know if anyone has issues finding it and I'll post the link when I get home!
