Hello,
I did not see any forum for UALR 2020 Applicants out there so I created one. I applied to accelerated program and my GPA is 3.44 in pre req and 3.15 at UALR. hopefully I get in. I only have STAT and chemistry left for both BSN and RN, and I am taking them both right now.
I am currently working at Baptist and they always hiring like previous post mentioned. I also have 2 kids. I think it is doable but tough. I am currently working a lot of hours now to save up. When Nursing schools start I am going part time. ( 2 days a week) if you are part time, you can still pick up extra shift if you want it. Most time, I have plenty of time to study at work. As long as your work is done and your patients are clean and dry, they don’t say anything. I see a lot of Nursing that is is doing thier RN to BSN with their laptop doing homework all the time. But they always round on their patient and Check on them. We all work together to take care of our patients on my floor.

Do you work in a particular department or do you float? I’d prefer to work in a department with enough downtime to study. I’m about to put in my application for part time at NLR Baptist.

You might check out Arkansas Pediatric facility. They have a full time with benefits Sat-Sun schedule and you can pick the other days of the week you want to work.
I worked there for over a year. The kids are great. There is high turnover for techs, but the nurses, teachers and therapist go above and beyond for the kids. If you can look past the constant rotation of techs, it’s a good place to work.

No benefits for PRN, but full time is 60-80 hours every 2 weeks & part time is 40-59 hours every 2 weeks.
