Hello,
I did not see any forum for UALR 2020 Applicants out there so I created one. I applied to accelerated program and my GPA is 3.44 in pre req and 3.15 at UALR. hopefully I get in. I only have STAT and chemistry left for both BSN and RN, and I am taking them both right now.
Hey everyone!
I have applied for the accelerated program this year. I am going absolutely crazy, as I'm sure everyone is, waiting for the emails to be sent out! I have a 3.89 prerequisite GPA and I'm hoping that it will be enough to get accepted. What is your biggest fear going into nursing school? I will admit that being 31 years old and a mother of 3, I am terrified!!

I know how you feel as well. I’m 25 with two kids. My son is 3 & my daughter is 6 months currently. I’m terrified of being able to juggle everything plus being able to work somewhat. I have a BA in psychology, but it’s just not my passion. Nursing always was. What’s your biggest fear?
With a 3.8, you’ll definitely get in! I have a BA as well as a masters degree. Both in business. Finding a job in that field is very difficult. But nursing has always been a desired field of mine, I just wasn’t as disciplined as I needed to be as a freshman in college, years ago!! I am also 31 and a mother of two! Definitely hoping for the best for us all!
Yes hopefully, if you dont get into the accelerated program they put you into the traditional as long as you meet the pre-requiset GPA which is a 3.0 and 3.0 overall and dont have anymore classes your taking this semester. So either way we shouldn't have a problem getting in to the traditional program.
Hi everyone! I also applied to the 2020 nursing program at UALR. My overall GPA is 3.94 and my pre-req GPA is a 4.0. I am currently taking two pre-req classes though, which are Micro and Chemistry. So nothing is set in stone yet because I must say these classes are not easy. I chose the traditional track simply because of fear to fail the accelerated. I am 38 and have a daughter that is graduating high school this Summer and also going off to college, which makes things very stressful at times. But I wish everyone the best of luck and hopefully we get to meet at the orientation! Positive vibes ??????

I was accepted to Baptist too, but I only have until March 11th to pay for mine. I wish they would send out notices today instead of next Friday like the previous years. So I may be paying $200 to ensure I’m at least accepted into somewhere. But I rather go to UALR because of the better hours.

Hi all!!
I applied for the accelerated program. I don’t know what my nursing GPA is ?! Anyway I have looked on this site for the last 2 years trying to see trends for acceptance and it seems to change year by year! Good Luck everyone!
