I'm stepping back on this runaway train. Reapplied to UAB's AGNP/WHNP combined program for the Fall 2014 entering class. Has anyone else applied? The application deadline is late March!
As a particpant in the Summer forum I will tell all you lovely folks my experience with the application process. In the summer I was told my the secretary at the nursing office all my transcripts were in. I signed into blazernet and kept being told my creditials were not valid. I called IT services finally and they told me I was missing documentation. I called nursing back, I had missing transcripts.
I reapplied. Friday I was able to login and see that I am listed as an FNP major. I do not have a packet yet. I have a coworker in the program. She loves it.
Well I just got off the phone with J.U. the Director of Admissions. I definitely did not get in which I had already assumed. I applied for the FNP program (I didn't choose a secondary tract). He actually gave me a lot of info that I was not aware of. They had close to 700 applicants for MSN programs which over half were for the FNP. He said they only accepted 100 people into the FNP for Fall admissions. HE stated that this was the most competitive tract and stated that the average GPA for the last 60 hours of the people that got accepted was around a 3.6. My GPA for the last 60 hours is only around 3.3 so I that was my main downfall. I am going to keep applying to the schools who's deadlines have not passed and pray that I can start this fall. I truly wish all of you the best!Just remember that everything happens for a reason :)
Hi everyone! I created a facebook group for questions/support through this program. The link is https://www.facebook.com/groups/321033181378109/
Feel free to add me on facebook: Sara Kathleen. I know I already have questions and it will be nice to "connect" with people outside of this forum. I wish everyone the best and thank you for the support during the last loooooong month of waiting. Cheers.

Congrats Ehunt! I'm a dual Peds applicant too, although I haven't been able to login so I'm not optimistic. Was this your first time trying to login?
