Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hey guys!

I wanted to to start a forum for the UAB CRNA 2018 applicant class since applications are due tomorrow!

Submitted my application not too long ago and am super excited/nervous!

Specializes in Emergency, ICU.

Anybody heard anything yet?

Nope! Nothing yet!

Specializes in Table controls and propofol.

Got an email today for an interview on September 20th!

Specializes in MICU.

Congratulations!!

Do you mind me asking you experience and stats?

Way to go! That's awesome! Congrats!

Specializes in Table controls and propofol.

Not sure if you were asking me, but I'll share =)

Been an RN for going on 3 years, with about 1.5 in a large CVICU in the Midwest where we do CRRT, VADs, IABP, ECMO etc. I help on training committees and precept there as well. I've also worked PRN for a smaller critical access ICU, though I don't know how much that helps with my app lol.

Education-wise, pretty meh. GPA is something like 3.3-3.4. I had a semester years ago I had to drop out of that really wrecked the average haha; without that, I'm around 3.7-3.8-ish. My GRE was decent: 329 combined.

I haven't heard back yet. Ugh!

I haven't either! Hoping they're sending them out in different cohorts?

Specializes in MICU.

Me either. What cohort did everyone apply for? I asked for Birmingham then Montgomery second.

Specializes in Table controls and propofol.

I applied to Huntsville, with Birmingham second.

I applied for the same. Huntsville #1 with Birmingham second
