  1. Hi beach, To prepare, I'd suggest knowing your common ICU meds. Know what they do, and how they do it. Understand your common pathophysiologies. Also, discuss leadership and educational roles you've fulfilled.
  2. I'll need to double check next week. The first email said 0730, but the second said 0700. I'll be so nervous I'm sure I'll be there at 0600 anyway lol. When is yours?
  3. I applied to Huntsville, with Birmingham second.
  4. Not sure if you were asking me, but I'll share =) Been an RN for going on 3 years, with about 1.5 in a large CVICU in the Midwest where we do CRRT, VADs, IABP, ECMO etc. I help on training committees and precept there as well. I've also worked PRN for a smaller critical access ICU, though I don't know how much that helps with my app lol. Education-wise, pretty meh. GPA is something like 3.3-3.4. I had a semester years ago I had to drop out of that really wrecked the average haha; without that, I'm around 3.7-3.8-ish. My GRE was decent: 329 combined.
  5. Got an email today for an interview on September 20th!
  6. Bumping this! I applied for 2018 as well. Just emailed (hopefully) the last of my course descriptions to the program manager. Now it's just a waiting game lol. Here's to hoping we hear about interviews soon!
  7. Lady at the Lafayette office said letters were being mailed out this week.
  8. Not yet, sorry! Been stuck at home the last couple of days
  9. Oh lol, misunderstood what you wrote. I'm pretty sure it didn't help me either, but a friend of mine from 201 had her score go up a % or so after it got weighed. Think she applied with a 179, but her and I were the only RN-hopefuls that I can recall. Other than that, I know a few scores have been put up on the ivy tech site. I'll be going in to the nursing department tomorrow to update a few things, gonna try and find out scores and numbers too while I'm there.
  10. Thanks! Ivy Tech weighs the science a bit higher (30%) than the reading and grammar (both 25%), and weighs the math a little bit lower (20%). I don't think it's changed anyone's scores by more than maybe 1-2% though. Grammar was my weak spot, I don't english very good
  11. I believe it was 182, but can't remember for sure what my TEAS score was after it was weighted.
