UAB AMNP 2017

Hey everyone! I'm currently a student at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I graduate this December and I'll be applying to UAB's AMNP program this Fall for the Spring 2017 class! I hope this group/thread can be used to help each other out through the application process. Also, to anyone currently in the AMNP program, please don't hesitate to drop in and share your application experience! :)

I actually don't know! The way I read the email was that my GPA would only be shown to the schools I applied to, not me. But if you find out a way to see it, please let me know!

I have a general idea of my GPA and such, but I want to know how their calculated my last 60 hours and see for sure how UAB receives them! I might try and call NursingCAS and play around on the site. I'm super nervous and I'm pretty sure we won't find out until October :(

Oh my goodness.. I hope this summer goes by fast. Hopefully they will call people as they get applications. I emailed an admissions advisor there a couple of months ago and they said the sooner we turn in the application the better.

Did she say why? I'm so nervous. I completed a few of my prereqs at a community college. I'm afraid that will be a negative for me.

I'm assuming to help move us up on the list? I'm not sure. I know she said they've already received a lot of applications. I don't think your CC classes will affect you too much as long as you have a good GPA and a good resume! :)

Do you currently go to UAB? The advisor told me that they've already received double the apps they usually receive and they aren't even due until September! í ½í¸³

Yikes! Well at least we've already applied. Now we just have to wait. Nope I graduated this past August from UCF.

I wanted to let you know that I found out how to see your calculated GPA. You go to application status and then click on the UAB application and download it. However, for the AMNP I think it's different since UAB only required us to do manual entry of prerequisites. Is that all that you manually entered?

Thank you! I went to go look but it doesn't show my GPA because all I entered were the prereqs required by them.... :/ but I know it shows up on my transcripts that I sent, so I guess they will just have to look at my transcripts. Also I emailed one of the admissions officer and they said they are reviewing each application weekly as they come in and emailing everybody separately.

Yes I only entered my prereqs too so my GPA wasn't there. Thanks so much for calling them! Do you know what they're emailing about?
