UAB AMNP Spring 2014

Hey everyone! I have found this site useful in the past and thought I would finally post on here. I have applied for UABs AMNP program for January. If accepted, I will be an out-of-state student, and it's going to be kind of expensive so I want all information I can get. If anyone is in this program or has spoken to someone in the program I'd like to hear some feedback. Also, I have heard mixed things about job outlook. Anyone have thought or experience with that? Any comments will be helpful! I also applied to the 2nd Degree BSN as a back up if I change my mind or am not accepted to the AMNP program.

In the email it says that final decisions will be mailed out no later than Nov 8th

Thanks. My email didn't say that. I also got a different email I think. I'm doing a phone interview Tuesday since I'm out of state. I wish I could do an in person interview but oh well.

What do you mean different? Other than you have will have a phone interview??

I just meant I think there were two separate emails. One for those close having in person and those far away doing phone interviews. I guess they just left that info out of ours.

My email was asking to interview over the phone because I live in Atlanta, but I will be in Birmingham Thursday and Friday, so I asked to interview in person instead. So ready to get it done and find out!!!

Does anybody have any insight as to what questions are typically asked in these interviews? I'm looking at past threads and can't seem to find any. I'm just trying to prepare myself with any and all curveballs they may throw!

Hi all! Joining this thread a bit late. I received an email asking me to come there for my interview, but as I live in Seattle I requested a phone interview. I am also curious if anyone knows of any questions that are typically asked in these interviews! Good luck to everyone!

Welcome! I'm glad to hear someone else is doing a phone interview too. Good luck to everyone on interviews this week! I don't think they will try to trick us with questions. Go over the essay prompt and your essay. I'm sure they will ask us to elaborate on those questions. Just relax, and take it one question at a time. We're so close!
