UAB AMNP Spring 2014

Hey everyone! I have found this site useful in the past and thought I would finally post on here. I have applied for UABs AMNP program for January. If accepted, I will be an out-of-state student, and it's going to be kind of expensive so I want all information I can get. If anyone is in this program or has spoken to someone in the program I'd like to hear some feedback. Also, I have heard mixed things about job outlook. Anyone have thought or experience with that? Any comments will be helpful! I also applied to the 2nd Degree BSN as a back up if I change my mind or am not accepted to the AMNP program.

I asked about dates and was told it would be around the 24th before we heard about interviews. I guess I can stop checking my email and phone every 5 minutes.

Lol glad to know I wasn't the only one checking for the email every time my phone vibrates.

I wonder how many people applied? I too have been checking my email religiously but will definitely stop now..at least until next week:sarcastic:

I applied to the 2cd Degree BSN too

I applied to the 2nd degree BSN but have decided against it now. Mostly because it costs almost has much as the AMNP for an out of state student so it didn't make sense to me because I know I definitely want my masters. So hopefully I'm accepted into the AMNP program! When I called months ago to get information on the AMNP program I was told usually about 150 apply and somewhere around 50 are accepted. Those are pretty good chances for us but I'm still nervous!

Yes! Today is suppose to be committee day, and we should know by Friday at the latest. I can't believe it's almost here! I can't wait for everyone to share the good news we are all going to get soon!

Thanks! I guess that means that I will be continuing my obsessive email checking hahaha. I don't think I've ever been so anxious/nervous/excited about something! AH!
