Hey everyone! I have found this site useful in the past and thought I would finally post on here. I have applied for UABs AMNP program for January. If accepted, I will be an out-of-state student, and it's going to be kind of expensive so I want all information I can get. If anyone is in this program or has spoken to someone in the program I'd like to hear some feedback. Also, I have heard mixed things about job outlook. Anyone have thought or experience with that? Any comments will be helpful! I also applied to the 2nd Degree BSN as a back up if I change my mind or am not accepted to the AMNP program.

I heard that the admission committe will be meeting next Monday the 21st to start reviewing applications.

Did you call the school to get that info? That seems so late to start reviewing apps. I was hoping for this week so I can get a plane ticket if I need to. They are getting expensive!

According to what I was told we will find out AFTER Oct 24th... Which like you said is late for you all who have to travel. Did anyone apply to the Second Degree BSN as well?

wow...just reviewing applications on the 21st seems extremely late...I wonder what the hold up is?

I asked about dates and was told it would be around the 24th before we heard about interviews. I guess I can stop checking my email and phone every 5 minutes.

I called yesterday to get an update of what was going on. I was told they are still putting together the applicant files. They have until the 23rd to complete that then the committee will meet to decide who they want to interview. So hopefully next Friday we will know!
