Hey everyone! I know the application deadline is a ways off, but I just wanted to get a forum started for those of us who plan on applying to the MEPN program for 2018! I have all my prerequisites finished and just have to take the HESI. I already took the TEAS for some other schools and scored very well, so I'm not too concerned about HESI as I hear it is a much easier exam without any science content required by UA. Has anyone already taken it? What did you think and how did you prepare? My last 60 units GPA is a 3.80 and my prerequisite GPA is a 3.96. I'm a little nervous about the interview as I have heard in the past it is very short- about ten minutes of talking time. I'll have to figure out how to eloquently but succinctly express my preparation for nursing school and interest in the field. Good luck everyone!!
I haven't heard anything either and they just sent out another email stating we need to have out test taken by the 23rd! I am emailing them again right now to try and see what is being done for us.
This is a good time for me to tell you guys to always advocate for yourselves and never be shy to reach out to the instructors and staff regarding any issues you may have. They are (for the most part) attentive and really care about our success, but you must be vocal!! Good luck and feel free to ask any questions!
I was just looking through the email that was sent out today on the drug testing policy and noticed that they test for nicotine. Does anyone know if nicotine use is actually against this program's policy? I know smoking is bad for my health, so I quit but have been using patches does anyone know how this will affect admittance?

I emailed one of the of the advisors from the program stating:
"I was wondering who I should contact to discuss a medication I was taking that could affect the results of the drug test that will be scheduled in the next month.
I do not plan on using this substance during the program but I do not believe it will be out of my system by the time the drug test will be scheduled and I want to make sure I have completed the appropriate steps to ensure there will be no issue with me continuing on with the program."
She responded by saying:
"We are currently looking into some of the details regarding the drug-testing policy and will hopefully be able to follow up with you soon.
Thanks for your patience."
Hopefully, we will have more details as the week goes on.
