UA MEPN 2017

U.S.A. Arizona

It's never too early to start talking! I'll be applying this fall for the 2017 cohort. Who else is applying? Are there any current or recent alumni that can give their insight on the program? What will the interview questions be like?

I have an interview on 2/18!

I was super bummed all weekend because I didn't get an email for an interview. I emailed this morning to ask because I thought my stats were good and I guess their system has issues with hotmail accounts and so I never received the email. I'm beyond happy and excited/nervous for the interview!

Hello Everybody,

I received an e-mail confirming my selection for an interview on the 18th of February. The interview will be conducted via Skype since I currently reside in the state of Washington. Also, I just called to order my finger print clearance card, which will be sent to me via snail-mail (I hope it arrives quickly). I am so excited for everyone! Good luck to all

Hi KMbMD, I think it actually might be fairly standard for schools to do group interviews! My boyfriend has recently been interviewing for physical therapy doctorate programs and he has been paired with another applicant during interviews as well (in-person, not Skype). I believe you are scored individually based on your own answers, not as a pair, so it shouldn't make a difference :)

I wonder how many people are getting interviews vs how many applied.. or what some of the questions will be. Im sure Why do you wanna be a nurse is one but if there are any other tricky ones.

Hi everyone. For out of state applicants that have already scanned their application to U of A, did you just scan and send the yellow sheet of the main packet or did you include the actual finger print card as well? Thanks!

Are all interviews on 2/18? I have an interview that day at 1030 and am really nervous! Does anyone know how many people are granted interviews?

Don't worry people. They will most likely hold an interview workshop before the interview in Tucson. They did that last year and I assume they will do the same this year.

What is the total tuition cost for this program?

It's 40k for residents and 49k for nonresidents. If you're going down the loan route, you can count on about 41k in federal loans and then the rest should be covered by grad plus loans.

The interview email I got said they may be increasing the amount to 44K for this cohort and they would let us know as soon as they know

You just Scan the yellow sheet! I spoke with someone in the nursing department! @Hhoward92

How have any of you out of state applicants filed for your fingerprint card? I got a notice I have a interview, but after going to the website to apply for the fingerprint card it looks like you can only do it in the state of Arizona. Problem is, I live thousands of miles away.
