UA MEPN 2017

Published

It's never too early to start talking! I'll be applying this fall for the 2017 cohort. Who else is applying? Are there any current or recent alumni that can give their insight on the program? What will the interview questions be like?

@methylbutane Orange County in California! You?

@ilovemyyorkie Tucson, Arizona. I wish you good luck in the Skype interview. I wonder if they'll be pairing you with another applicant or if it'll be just you.

@methylbutane Thank you, good luck in your interview too! The Interview Guide at the bottom of my email says it will be 10 minutes long and will be one applicant being interviewed by a panel of faculty and alumni. That seems pretty short for an interview though, especially with a panel, so I'm wondering what the questions will be like.

I got an interview! Best of luck everyone! Look forward to meeting some of you on the 18th.

Hey how did you go about your Finger Print Clearance card, I am out of state as well. When i spoke with someone in the nursing department they told me that I could just get a clearance card from the state I am in. But the email is saying we need to obtain a clearance card from the state of Arizona. And their DPS website is not helpful at all. So I am really confused about how to get it. Can you help me out please?

@ilovemyyorkie

Yes I am from Texas!

Hi @ashepp! I haven't figured out my Fingerprint Clearance Card yet, but on Monday I am planning to call DPS at the number given in the email and inquire on how to receive the FCC application packet. I'm not sure about being able to use a clearance card from another state, but I am going to go with the Arizona DPS since that's what the instructions say. I read on page 3 of this thread that someone else here was able to obtain their FCC application pretty easily so I'm hoping there will be no issue for me there.

And yay for Texas! I am actually originally from the Dallas area!

Hey! @ilovemyyorkie,

Thank you for the information. I am going to do the same thing on Monday. I am hoping that it doesn't take too long! haha! Thats pretty cool! I live about 35 minutes from Dallas! Best of luck to you and everyone on their interviews!:)

Yea I'm out of state and that's what I'm doing

I too received an interview!

My Fingerprint Clearance Card Experience:

I applied for my FCC in July 2016. As I remember, it was a very simple process. I am located here in Tucson, to give you an idea. I went to the Arizona Dept. of Safety website and clicked on the Fieldprint link. It was from that third party link that I applied and set up an appointment. The Fieldprint website (arizona.fieldprint.com) was very user friendly and there were several "Quik Print" locations to choose from around the Tucson area. As I recall, there was a fee for both the ADS FCC application and for the use of Fieldprint but I cannot remember the total cost. Once I completed my appointment, I received an email the very next day from ADS letting me know that they received my FCC application. After that email, it took about a week for the card to be delivered in the mail.

Good luck to everyone! May we all be blessed with a strong, high scoring interview!!!

I got an interview the same time. Does anyone else thing its beyond ridiculous to have 2 applicants interviewing together? I mean we are applying to advance our careers, not to a movie theater. Very disappointed they only spend 10 minutes on each student but dont worry 50K they will collect.. Cmon. Why couldnt we have partners during the HESI exam? This whole thing is so weird..

Thanks for the info! But i am out of state so its a little bit different haha

For out of state applicants just call the DPS and they will send you all the information you need via mail:)
