This is for anyone who has applied to the Degree Holder Route at U of C. I just wanted to let people know that if they have transcripts that still haven't been ordered from an Alberta Institution (through ApplyAlberta), give the admissions office a call (403-210-7625) and have them request it to be sent.
I was checking myuc everyday waiting to see if my transcript from Athabasca had been ordered and it still hadn't. I called admissions and the man told me he had to put a request for it to be ordered from Athabasca.... good thing I called or else they might not have ordered it in time for the Sept 30 deadline!
Oh perfect, thanks! I thought the last day to have your courses completed and transcripts submitted was September 30th. Do you know where or how I might find out the date that needs to be submitted? I sent them an email and will call them back on Monday but that's two days away!! haha
Op, no, that wasn't it. I guess my physiology courses were ruled as good enough. I was just missing an official copy of something. See you all in January! :)
What aNurse'son said, except I think that there are different admissions GPAs for the transfer and degree holder routes. The 55/120 is people from both streams who have already enrolled in classes for Winter 2015 (it is possible that there are more who have been accepted but have not yet registered in classes).
over a week ago when i talked to nursing, they told me they've already selected applicants to fill half the space available and it was still 3.5GPA. not sure what the situation is now.
Does anyone know where the current admitting GPA is at now? I called the number provided but haven't got a reply yet. Maybe I'll try calling again later, but it would be great to get some information here if any of you guys know anything about this. Thanks!
I just got my application cancelled as of yesterday. It was because my GPA isn't high enough (it is about a 3.3 or more adjusted) to meet the competitive GPA this year. So with that being said I think they have officially filled all seats and the cut off was either 3.4 or 3.5.

By the way, if the deadline is late December, it's still technically possible for you to complete a course with Athabasca U. Good luck:up:
Actually, you can request for a challenge exam with Athabasca U. That will be even faster.
