These are the sponsors that I know of: University Medical Center, Tucson Medical Center, and Carondelet. I heard something about a forth sponsor coming on...maybe Northwest Medical Center.
During the last application/interview cycle for the ABSN program, the sponsors interviewed the applicants as well. I'm not sure if this is what is happening now?
Anyway, I'd pick UMC, Carondelet, Northwest (if participating) and lastly TMC. Your ranking of sponsors may also depend on which speciality you wish to work in after you graduate. Good luck!
Hey, I am going to be interviewing at Arizona as well! Are you going to the Sponsoring Hospital Info session the night before the interviews? I think that is where we learn about all of the available choices and make our decisions.
Also, where are you from? I feel like I might be the only out-of-stater coming (I'm from Oklahoma).

I received notification of my interview at UA for the Accelerated BSN last week too.
See you on Friday the 15th!
And good luck!

All I know is that the class size is about 95. I don't know how many more than that will be offered admission, but I would guess maybe double. I also heard somewhere that in the past the total number of applicants was close to 1000 (don't quote me on that - i saw that number on another thread). I would imagine that probably 1/3 of those were offered interviews - so about 60% of the interviewees (is that a word) will be offered admission. Keep in mind that I am making all of these numbers up, but they are based on acceptance rates and admission offer numbers I have heard from other schools. But I could be 100% wrong. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Making it to an interview means you are a "top applicant". Most of the time at this stage you have the credentials to get in the school, they just want to meet you and get an idea of how you are as a person as opposed to a GPA.
As for my specialty - I would like initially to do pediatrics, but eventually I am going to get a double masters in nursing and public health (in epidemiology). I really want to work for the UN or the CDC doing relief work.
Here's another question for everybody: what other accelerated nursing programs did you apply to besides Arizona?
I applied to UNC-Chapel Hill and Virginia Commonwealth (which I got in to 2 weeks ago). But AZ is definately my first choice - you can't beat the weather or the free (minus the two years of servitude) tuition!
EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeh! Thank the Lord almighty that the interview is over. How did everyone else do? I am way more excited about the program now than I was before. My interview went ok, I think. I was so nervous, I honestly couldn't remember the questions or my answers for about an hour after the interview. I really want to get in though!

Hi!
I'm so excited. I just found out that I got selected to interview for U of A's ASBSN program! :w00t:
In the email it said to bring my top three choices for healthcare sponsors. I'm not familiar with Tucson, so I'm wondering, what would be good choices?
TIA
