Hello everyone. I am applying to the U of A MEPN program this fall for a May 2022 start. I'm super nervous and excited. Anyone else? I have not taken the HESI yet but will be doing so toward the end of Nov. Any advice?

Congrats to the ones who just got in!! (Don't forget to not buy books or scrubs until we can see if we have some to give you for free or sell to you for cheap ??)
and for everyone else - I was waitlisted at first (got into phx which I had to decline) and then got into tucson the next year- hang in there and I'm also happy to help you to go over your application or whatever!
I was waitlisted! How long did it take before you were notified you got off the waitlist? Also, is there a time I should expect that if I don’t hear back, I probably won’t be getting in? I’m not sure how long people get to accept or decline.

I don't know how helpful this is but there is no clear answer. I was also on the waitlist and I got in about 2 months before the program started. I know someone who got off the wait list 2 DAYS before the program started! Final decisions are usually in March but people decline up until the program start because of a variety of reasons. I highly suggest getting in contact with the advisors, they will go over your application with you and explain to you where you may need to improve for next year IF you have to reapply.

I was notified 8 days after the 2020 waitlist email that a spot opened up for me, and I had 4 days to give them an answer. I was given 12 days last year after being accepted to give them a commitment of yes or no. It is definitely possible to get in a week before the semester starts though! Someone in my class in Tucson got in the week before (or maybe it was even fewer days!).
I asked in 2020 how many people were on the waitlist and there were 20, and I was on the towards the top 10 of the list, though I don't know exactly where (I asked the advisers lots of questions whilst waiting to see how likely it would be that I would get in!)

I would be interested in knowing if I am in the top or bottom 10 as well. Would I contact a specific advisor for this? Or email the MEPN program? Thank you for all your help!

Thank you for your help! Would you recommend contacting an advisor to go over my application now or if I find out I have to reapply later on?
See ya’ll in PHX :’) My mother does have me freaked out a bit (did anyone else see the tuition in increase for out-of-state by $15k?! to $68k) - that’s the cost of the program, not annual tuition, correct? I swore that I triple checked that with an advisor in the Fall and now I’m slightly panicking ?

You should wait - they won't schedule time to go over an app at this time. I mean, you can ask now, but just expect that they will ask you to wait!

So I would ask in a kind of sneakier way - like obviously thank them and then ask what is the likelihood of being offered a spot based on past statistics and where you rank (something like that).

I love helping! I can't remember... you should be able to ask whatever contact they gave you

Oh good point! Is there anything we should be studying up on before the program starts such as anatomy and pharmacology?
