Typhon’s purpose really isn’t for finding preceptors. That’s more of a side effect. The previous students input their preceptors and once you have access you can see a list of previously used preceptors. You still have to contact them, determine if they are still willing & have an opening, convince them to precept you, and arrange everything.
My school used typhon for tracking of clinical hours and for tracking preceptor feedback/evaluations. It was NOT for finding preceptors. Sure you could see other preceptors in the list who'd at one point in time been credentialed with the university, but given you need a school code to log in - and we didn't receive that code until we started clinicals it wouldn't be useful to find a preceptor.
For me it was mostly useful to get used to common ICD-10 codes and CPT codes for billing... also nice to see a breakdown of patients by age/diagnosis/complexity at the end of the term.

Has anyone used typhon to find NP clinicals? Was it still challenging to find preceptors using this website? Thanks everyone!
