Tyler Junior College LVN to RN Fall 2016

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

I couldn't find anything on the upcoming semester at TJC for the LVN to RN bridge program so I decided to create one for all of us prospective. I have been an LVN for about 3 years graduated from Kilgore College in 2013, but for the past year completed Pre Reqs and have this hunger to go back for RN. I just completed the GAP test Tuesday 4/12 and am reviewing all of the papers to fill out. When I talked with the ladies in the office I was told that this year is more of Hybrid and noticed that there were 3 different classes on the admission for (I applied to all three just to open up my options). Im currently living in Arlington but plan to move back to Longview area at the end of the month since my lease will be complete. Are there any others out there who have already submitted applications back to the campus or any other information about how this program will operate?

Thank you, i am glad to know that Tjc have a great foundation, i was kinda of nervous. Thanks again for the insight

TJC LVN program

Which campus? Also lvn or rn?

TJC and was for the LVN program. I also applied to the RN program but have not heard anything

The hybrid program for tjc is new. This is the first year so it will be like an experiment. Most of the lectures are recorded and online. The clinical are going to be in sim lab in the evening or on weekends

Acceptance letters will be sent out at the beginning of the week for the transition program!

Awesome I hope that they just accept everyone, I wonder how many applied and if their acceptance is contingent on who all came to the information part.

Well I heard there was 88 spots between jacksonville and Tyler. But the information meeting didn't count for anything. Just a chance to ask questions

awesomeness well I guess we will see this week, hopefully things goto plan Im just excited to have even applied it seems to have all happened so fast from finishing LVN to prereqs. next step will be pushing through this next step. Wondering what the cut off for points would be

I received a paper today telling me how many points I had.I know the most points you can get is over a 1000 though. The least they will consider is 700 points

I think with the extra points that I calculated up I have about 825 just hope that is enough, at this point i would be happy to get into either class

Is it for tyler day or tyler night lvn chell?

It should be. Good luck. Should know next week!!!
