Tyler Junior College LVN to RN Fall 2016

Published

I couldn't find anything on the upcoming semester at TJC for the LVN to RN bridge program so I decided to create one for all of us prospective. I have been an LVN for about 3 years graduated from Kilgore College in 2013, but for the past year completed Pre Reqs and have this hunger to go back for RN. I just completed the GAP test Tuesday 4/12 and am reviewing all of the papers to fill out. When I talked with the ladies in the office I was told that this year is more of Hybrid and noticed that there were 3 different classes on the admission for (I applied to all three just to open up my options). Im currently living in Arlington but plan to move back to Longview area at the end of the month since my lease will be complete. Are there any others out there who have already submitted applications back to the campus or any other information about how this program will operate?

Thanks a lot. I do have A and P I and II done, along with Intro to Psych and English but I have B's in my sciences (I had a 5 class course load @ the time). I can strive for A's for the remainder of the prereqs but I really wouldn't want to retake that A and P. Also the 1st A and P is at the 5 yrs old mark which some schools have a cut off for. I was going to try Navarro and TJC and hope for the best. My transcript says 3.125 GPA at the college I'm transferring my credits from even factoting in that I failed an Algebra II. I can just pray I get in the 1st try. Thanks.

That is a good GPA to me the only issue that I am having is with TJC not doing grade replacement so even though I have been to other schools and even LVN they don't even recognize it but I talked with the ADN office and their are only concerned with the admissions GPA so that saves me some but I was just saying the other day to a friend I would greatly appreciate Finaid and am going to fight it because I have become a better and more serious student since then but if not I have a back up

So I was told not to call up there to see when letters are suppose to be sent out. But I'm sure someone did....does anyone know?

I got confused on the application because it read Tyler AM and PM I would like to sit in an actual class but I would be okay with Hybrid just prefer the face to face

I received my acceptance letter May 28th by email

Which campus? Also lvn or rn?
