I couldn't find anything on the upcoming semester at TJC for the LVN to RN bridge program so I decided to create one for all of us prospective. I have been an LVN for about 3 years graduated from Kilgore College in 2013, but for the past year completed Pre Reqs and have this hunger to go back for RN. I just completed the GAP test Tuesday 4/12 and am reviewing all of the papers to fill out. When I talked with the ladies in the office I was told that this year is more of Hybrid and noticed that there were 3 different classes on the admission for (I applied to all three just to open up my options). Im currently living in Arlington but plan to move back to Longview area at the end of the month since my lease will be complete. Are there any others out there who have already submitted applications back to the campus or any other information about how this program will operate?
At least an 800 to be competitive, I made an 805 the second time 1st time i scored a 655 used a study guide here is a link to the book i purchased helped alot after being out of school for a little while HESI Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN® Examination, 4e: 9781455751
Lvn to rn transition program at tyler junior college, i see where some nurses have gotten into the transition program for the fall of 2016, i am applying for the spring of 2017, can anyone tell me how the gap test was, and what i should concentrate on? Also, my gpa is only 2.87 but all sciences are b's. Does anyone know how many people apply for the transition programs?
Thanks
loren
I am pretty sure that you have gotten an answer back by now but you have a great GPA and a good science background. Im going to be honest all of my sciences are C's but my GPA to apply was a 2.6 because of the other classes i had. Not really sure how many people apply but I know for my cohart there were around 45 of us in Jacksonville to start off. We are now on summer break and will be going into the last semester for fall, the teachers are completely awesome and help so much
