Tyler Junior College Hybrid 2020-2021

TJC Hybrid LVN to RN starting in 2021. Has anyone else submitted their application? Anyone know how many they take and what scores usually get accepted?

I was looking at the revised packet dated 1-6-20. When you use that...my score is alot lower. Using the 7-31-20 revised score my score would be higher. Oh my goodness...im going by the older scoring. Noooooooooo!!! So they have me at about half the points I could have.

On the 1/2020 the ATI RN was x .20. On the new one its your score x .40.

Im trying not to cry...but.....noooooo!!

I was just looking and typing what you stated. I didn't realise they changed the points. For my review of my points, I went with the previous one and agreed to that. Will they automatically recalcuate my score/points to reflect the newest point system?

Yesss I know! It sucks so we’ll see! I think that puts a lot of people in the same boat. Peoples’ scores won’t look as high haha I’m just trying to stay relaxed but let’s get real...is that possible?! So stressed!! 

I’m sure they will update it. Surely! I’m going to email them tomorrow to make sure. I’ll post in here what they say.

I agreed to the lower points. As I went by the previous revised packet dated 01/06/2020. Not the 07/31/20.

I just cant believe it. OK...calm. Breathe. We got this. Yes please if you email them and get a reply I would be very interested in seeing that.

Yes same here! So I’m a little confused about what’s going on now! 
of course! I will post a copy as soon as I know! I’m hoping it’s the first set of points they sent in the email. Not this suddenly revised one on the website.

Did others agree to their scores being correct according to the revised admission packet dated 7/31/20?

I based mine of the January revised one.

I had to get to wifi to be able to look. I agreed to my scores being correct based off of the older version of the admission packet dated 01/06/20.

I’m talking to them tomorrow to see if they are going by new points or if they are going by what they emailed us. This is all so confusing now. Surely not considering we agreed to the 45 point system not 75.

So I actually just edited my statement because I cant do simple math because I’m a nervous wreck right now. My first prediction was right—53.57. We’ll see. Hopefully they go with the first! Thank you though!!

Your first email that you got from them was to inform them if the score they got for you was correct. Was the score they sent you based on the previous admission packet points or the newer one?

I have yet to find anyone or anything online about how many students they've taken I. The past. I feel like with COVID 19 they are going to take a lot less. But thats just me being overly sad and gloomy.
