Tyler Junior College Hybrid 2020-2021

TJC Hybrid LVN to RN starting in 2021. Has anyone else submitted their application? Anyone know how many they take and what scores usually get accepted?

The score they sent me was based on the old revision which was out of 45 points not 75. The amount of points I had in the email they sent was 31.41 which would be the better score to take. 
 

that’s what I’m worried about too! I hope they don’t take less. I’m composing my email to them right now! Asking how many students they’re taking and what point system they are going off of.

Call tjc they finally answered! I told them my points were way off!

So is it based on the 45 point system? Not 75?

I don’t know they are suppose to call me back. My points were totally off. I was suppose to have 33 and they only gave me 24

When you talk to them and they let ya know what point system (revised admission packet) they are using, could you let us know as well. Please.

I just called to confirm about the selection process and it’s based off of the points in stage 1 summary. Whatever points were in your email is what they will use. The revised version is for the following applicants only. I’m kind of numb to all of this but still hopeful for us all?

OK perfect!! Thank you so much! That makes me feel a little better. I kind of assumed that but I hate assuming. Yes hoping for the best! ????

OK so finally I got an answer and I asked them how many students they’re gonna be accepting for Spring 2021 and she said nothing is confirmed but they think 60 is what they’ll accept. If not that, then 40. So we’ll see! Hoping for 60!!

I figured the changes were for the next cohort bc we had already submitted and were already at the end of Stage 1 when they changed requirement. As a matter of fact, they changed it the same day our we expected to get our summary responses. Finally, something positive ?. Thanks for checking!

Just out of curiosity and for conversation, about how many people applied if they are taking 40 or 60 students?

For me when I saw that, I knew I don't have chance. My points are very low. But am hopeful some school will take me fall next year. I had my mind set for tyler. But this diminished my chances. The way that fundamental and critical costed me like 100 dollars???
