Tyler Junior College Hybrid 2020-2021

TJC Hybrid LVN to RN starting in 2021. Has anyone else submitted their application? Anyone know how many they take and what scores usually get accepted?

Received same email, but honestly,  whats going on with this application,

Am done with this process, will wait for fall applications to open because they are not as complicated as this waiting period. Goodluck guys, this is not right. We did work so hard for TEAS just to hear they will not include, this was not needed for lvn to RN programme. I havent seen my email yet, but honestly I give up

I haven’t received an update of the new points

I did the RN fundamental and they still refer to it as TEAS when you taking it. But I should have had my points because I did the right exam

It's 75 pts total if you add all the Stage 1 possible points. If your close to that number, you're probably got really high TEAS score and then got A's in pre reqs.

Just Fyi, I'm applied to LVN track, not LVN-RN if this helps clarify my responses.

I believe that is for future applicants! It states at the end of the paragraph that you have already met the requirements.

OK so I now have 54.07 points. What are everyone else’s points looking like? I’m freaking out that we don’t have interviews anymore!! ?

Which program did you apply for? LVN to RN hybrid? LVN? Or LVN to RN traditional?

I just read my email. Again. And again. I just realised it said LVN to RN transition program. Does that mean the Hybrid program? LVN to RN but weekends and evenings?

Same. I thought. My email says LVN to RN transition. That is the hybrid....correct?

Also, I thought the most points we could obtain were 45 points.

Yes so the TJC in Tyler program is only accepting applicants for the hybrid LVN-RN and yes it’s nights and weekends. So if you go to the admission guidelines on the website  they changed the point system. Now the fundamental exam is worth 40 points instead of 20. Now the possible points you can get are 75. So re-add your points up!
