Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.
Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?
I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.
If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?
Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!
sunniiiie,Yes, I will let you know what we do of if she says anything.
The fast track program is different than the weekend program.
actually I didn't go. I woke up with a sore throat. All weekend I had a runny nose, but thought it was just allergies. I stayed home since I think it's a cold. I didn't want to pass it on to anyone else.
I can't help - I didn't make it either. I slept terribly last night, and felt awful when I woke up this morning. It was one of those days where I was afraid to get in the car and drive feeling like I did. I would have been a danger to myself and others. I imagine she just read the notes again. Doubtful we missed much.
They did send congratulatory emails last semester, but no rejection emails. So those who didn't get an email knew that they had not been accepted. I am almost positive that we are going to find out sometime between the 26th and the 30th since TWU has to wait on the weekend program to respond by the 23rd, which is their deadline. I doubt they send them out on the 23rd or work overtime on the 24th, that Saturday, to send them out. yay! It's almost time.

About financial aid I'll just say this, unless you are absolutely destitute don't expect to get much "free money". What you can expect is to get interest free loans and interest-incurred loans that you don't have to pay off until after you graduate. What you have to do is go fill out the FAFSA form inside of portal and submit it. I missed the deadline last year by about 3 months and I still qualified for nearly all the aid they would give me (in the form of a loan) for one semester. I submitted it for the next year and they gave me almost the same amount (a little more I think) but it was divided across all three semesters (summers, too). You might research financial aid on this site and see the threads that come back for that.
Also an easy way to find this thread is to go to the top under regions, choose united states and then choose Texas.
