If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

Hello

I do not know if this means anything at all, but I went on the Portal to look at classes for Spring. Even though i am not registering I took a peek at the numbers slotted for the undergraduate first semester nursing courses. It looks as though if I am right Houston is taking 100 students at least that is what is slotted on the board for classes. Dallas looks like 100 to 130. I will say 100 for Dallas because three of those slots say "Staff" and do not have instructor names so they may not be for sure.

Take a look for yourself.

I call myself investigating, but it may not mean anything.

I know the question has been addressed how many students will they take.

Once again I did not get this info. from an official source except the Portal under register for classes. Type in Nursing third year and Spring 09.

It was a positive for me because the more they take the more of us GET IN:yeah:

I love investigations:idea:

Look info up and tell me what you think.

Hello,

I have applied for Spring 2009 at the Houston Campus. I went to the orientation Sat. Oct. 25, and they said they take about 90 students a semester.

The last e-mail I received concerned my Summer II transcripts. I responded quickly, and everything is ok.

I would like to know if anyone has received any e-mails (or mail) concerning acceptance. :nurse:

Best of luck!!

Hello Bazooka

The last email I received was regarding my "Core Completion" which I was

complete and did not need Math 1013, computer lit or Womens Studies. It was an oversight and everything is ok. Just like you I responded very quickly because to be honest it scared me.

No new word other than that.

Sounds as if I may be right regarding my calculations because you said Houston normally take 90 students a semester.

Good Luck and hope to hear from you again. Stay in touch regarding your status.

We are posting acceptance/rejection status here and we are supporting each other no matter what....:typing

I have not looked at the portal class schedule yet, but i believe i've heard those numbers before. I think i was told about 100 students accepted per campus - so 200 in total. I'm excited and terrified - i wish we could all get in!!! However, i know that is not reality - so i wish the best to each applicant!

Ooh, they increased! When I started in Jan 05, they took 60. That was when we were in the old bldg and one of the rooms only had 60 seats...man was it CROWDED!

OMG - i just got my letter of acceptance into the Nursing program - Dallas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am shaking, i can hardly believe it!:yeah:

I just called the Houston campus and they said that the letters should go out with in the next two weeks. That is going to kill me. ugh

And just to let you all know ~ a thin envelope does NOT mean it is a rejection!!! Apparently we have to "accept" the offer into the program - my letter says i will be receiving additional information from the program coordinator.
