Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

The first time I filled mine out I forgot that section and my score was in the low 30s (also had low TEAS). Then I retook the TEAS and filled out the top section and have a much better score. I downloaded a whole new excel doc from the TWU website to make sure i didn't mess up any othe formulas too just to make sure.
Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Since this is the first application cycle that they implemented the new "2 attempts" for the TEAS I'm curious to see what the competitiveness is like, because before you could take the TEAS as many times as you wanted to keep increasing your score. I think last Spring the lowest accepted was 44/45? But that could change with this new rule!
Yes, i did click on those. I do not have a previous bachelors or TWU preference. My TEAS score was good and Wharton accepted them, they accept them for 5 years. It sucks that I had to retake it. I don't really understand why it has to be done every year. At this point in my waiting game anxiety, I am leaving it in God's hands at this point.
TWU did send me an email for a scholarship that I was granted so I hope that is a good sign but we shall see.

Yes I hear their scores are much more competitive but I think that you have great scores. I hope you do get in!

I tried to call financial aid but there was an hour wait ?
Hello, I just joined the page and saw your post. I also got that email from fin aid. This morning I clicked on my required documents in webadvisor, and it showed that I need an active program/acceptance. Were you able to get any answers from fin aid about the email?

Yes! They said it will show incomplete until you've been accepted into the nursing program and to just ignore the emails!
Hi!
Okay so I got an email saying I may not be considered because I am not a current student. However, I applied on applytexas and even have the confirmation email. I previously was accepted in high school to TWU so i can still access my pioneer portal and my have twu email/ID. Im not sure what to do in this case.

Did you just graduate from high school and applied? Or is that an old application. I think after every year you have to reapply again....

Hi sorry what exactly do you mean by waiver? like top 10 percent? if so then yes, i used a waiver when i applied in high school.
im not sure what do do because i got an email today saying im not a current student. and I never did get an actual acceptance email when i applied in july 2019. I thought this may be because i had been previously admitted when i applied in high school for undergrad (december 2016). So i just used the ID number from 2016 for my nursingcas. Is there something i can do?

If your last acceptance to TWU was in 2016 and you didn't enroll in courses then you would have needed to reapply and be accepted. Their admissions site states acceptance to TWU is good for one calendar year before you would need to reapply. If you did reapply this July and sent in all of your transcripts I would reach out to the Office of Admissions Processing to see if they received your newest application. It could be something as simple as putting your new and correct student ID on your current application. Good luck!

I applied during my senior year of high school and used a waiver so when I applied again this year in July as well they told me I had a previous application fee from my senior year application. Call and speak to their admissions processing they will let you know.
Hi, I know the spring admission usually isn't as competitive as the fall however, does anyone know what the average spring admission scores are?
Also can someone please dumb down how to figure out the points from our GPA and Teas together?
I received an email saying that I am eligible but I don't think I have a shot. My current GPA is 3.2 and my teas was 84.7 however, maybe I'll be lucky enough to be the last person accepted!
