I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
I agree that the A&P background is the key to this class. I enjoy our prof (Ph.D from the 60's), but it is our tutor that really teaches us the material we need to take with us to the exam and into our career. She is a dynamic individual.
I think I read earlier on the forum that out of almost 900 applicants, there were about 600 that qualified. I wonder how many of those are for Dallas compared to Houston since they combined them together. Anybody heard anything?
Congrats to those who got in! I didn't expect to get an email right away because my stats weren't that fantastic, now the waiting is just going to be that much harder...saying lots of prayers!
