Published

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

have you already submitted all your info to NursingCas? they can be a little slow and you want to make sure your application is verified by the deadline

I already filled every thing out on NursingCas. I am just waiting for them to receive my transcripts. Can I still submit my application if they havent received my transcript yet?

yes, you should be able to. I would submit and then just wait on everything to be verified since you only have to send your TEAS to TWU

So If I am taking my TEAS at TWU, I dont need to send scores right? Just update the scores on NursingCAS?

i submitted my application before they had all my transcripts and didn't have any issues. my application status is currently verified so now im just "nervously waiting" ?

hmmm that i'm not sure about, maybe someone who took it there can answer that for you. I don't know if they can just look it up there since you're taking it there. you can send them (twu nursing email) a quick email and ask.

How long did it take for them to verify your classes?

after they received my transcript i think it took maybe 3 business days, they recvd it on the thurs AFTER new year, they sent me a message I needed to update something that following Monday and the next day (tues) it was updated to verified. so 3 business days

i just used the ATI practice book and i did the practice test they have online (you have to pay for them) and the TEAS practice app (downloaded on my phone). There's a few people here who scored in the 90's maybe they have some tips they can add on here also

Hi there,

Great stats! If you don't mind sharing, what did you use to study for the TEAS? Especially the Reading and English sections? Thanks!

Over the summer I got the mometrix book and studied from there the most. The first time I took the TEAS it was before I took A&P 2 and I got a 84%. Science was my lowest section. I also looked for practice questions on whatever websites and apps I could find for the TEAS. For me, practicing questions has always been the most helpful for me at least for math, english, and reading. The first time I took the TEAS the english section was a lot more difficult for me and confusing. The second time around I thought the questions were a lot easier to be honest. For writing I did about the same on both times.

You did great! Which campus are you applying to?
