TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Has anyone gotten any updates about Castlebranch for J1 students? I know J2 and senior students have to be compliant by 8/1, but what about us? Supposedly, we have to wait for a link to sign up. I'm at the Houston campus btw.

A link to sign up for castlebranch? If so that info was provided back in May on the google drive....

Ms. Abraham at the Houston campus sent out an email in late May stating for Houston students not to register until we were given a link and that the ones who'd already done so were uploading their docs to an "old list." She said we'd hear something by "early July" but I haven't gotten anything. Kinda worried now lol.

oh, you may want to email her about that then...im in the WEP and we use the link thats on the google drive and it take about 3-5 days for them to approve the docs

Yeah I emailed her. And thanks for the heads up about how long it takes for them to approve docs ?

Hey sorry just popping in! I’m actually reapplying for Spring 2020, and I retook a course to get a better grade. I’m confused though because don’t label it repeated if you retook it at a different institution (which I did). So just asking advice from someone with previous experience on this...do I still mark it as repeated on both of my transcripts? I took A&P 2 at UNT, then retook it just this summer at community college.

You don't mark it as repeated on NursingCas. Because it only counts as repeated if taken at the same institution. But I believe they still consider the highest grade (because it is technically repeated). I retook a few classes too..

Hey y'all! First off congrats on your acceptances ? Second, I am applying for Spring 2020 but wanted to reach out here to ask whether or not TWU allows you to purchase your own scrubs and have them embroidered or if you have to purchase direcr through TWU? I know super random and super early but just curious! TIA!

They have told us that we can only purchase from TWU. The white coat for the ceremony can be purchased elsewhere. I’m in Dallas. Idk if Houston is different.
