TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Is anyone planning on going to the information session on December 14th? I'll be coming up from College Station with my boyfriend (who would rather sleep in than come with me to the session) and I'd love someone to sit with!

I'll be coming from college station too. What a coincidence my gf doesn't want to go lol

The semester is almost over! I finished Statistics with an A and i should be finishing A&P 2 with an A. If all goes according to plan I should be applying to the evening/weekend program with the following stats:

Nursing GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 87.3

no twu/bachelor preference

Points: 51.17

SN: I applied last fall to the evening/weekend program with the following stats and didn't get in because i missed the cutoff by 3 points

Nursing GPA: 3.7

TEAS: 87.3

Points: 45

whats your admission score (points) and which campus are you applying to?

Has anyone applied to the program yet? and if so does your NursingCas show "verified?"

Yes, I applied several weeks ago. My NursingCas shows Application Status - "verified".

ok thank you! i just read on nursingcas that it had to show verified to be eligible for consideration. My final grades have posted so I need to submit my final transcript to NursingCas and TWU. did it take long for it to show verified?

This is a good question. It took maybe a couple of days after they received my paperwork. Plus I used Professional Transcript Entry to make sure everything is ok. However, this time it might take longer, because a lot of students have been waiting for final grades to be able to send transcript. In my case, I have all my prerequisites since last year, so I didn't have to wait to the end of semester.

yea, they have all but one of my transcripts and i entered them on my own but i also have a copy of the other transcripts i sent so i made sure they matched. hopefully it doesnt take too long. I know when i spoke with an advisor on the phone a couple of months ago, she said they had issues with the spring semester doing it this way with NursingCas so they could possibly change it. I'll just keep an eye on it! Thanks for the response tho!

I just took my TEAS exam this morning and it went a lot better than I thought, thank goodness.

I'm applying for the Dallas traditional program and these are my specs!

No TWU bump but I have a previous bachelor's degree.

Nursing GPA: 3.69

Prereq GPA: 3.69

TEAS overall: 94.7

Reading: 89.4

Math: 100.0

Science: 97.9

English: 91.7

Overall score: 62.85
