TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Hi, everyone! I've been following this thread for a while now, and I didn't want to post until I knew my admission points. I originally took my TEAS on January 17th, and I just retook my TEAS on the 29th. I scored an 82.7 the first time, and I somehow managed to increase my score to a 92.7. I'm applying to the Houston campus with 54.07 as my admission points. Best of luck to everyone!

great score, you should have no issues getting into Houston!

Thanks! I'm hoping that is the case. I was a little worried at first because I was sitting at 40 points before retaking my TEAS.

Tomorrow is Feb 1st! Hope everyone is ready for the long, stressful nights of waiting. lol. I applied for spring 2019 and didnt get accepted. I retook the TEAS and improved my score from 81 to 88! Hope this helps my application. I just graduated with a BS and my nursing prereqs GPA is a 3.88.

Great job! Which location are you applying for and what is your point score?

Im applying for the Houston location. I live here so it just makes sense. Im not sure of my point score. I couldnt find the spread sheet to do it.

I found the sheet. Admissions score of 56.43, Nursing GPA 3.88, Previous bachelors bump, and TEAS score of 88%.

Here are my final stats:

Nursing GPA: 4.0

Nursing Core: 4.0

Teas: Composite: 78.8

Reading : 71

Math: 87.5

Science: 87.2

English: 67 ...

Total points: 47 points

Previous Bachelors Degree from UT Dallas.

I had to change my application for TWU Houston Traditional, because advisor said I have a better chance in Houston.

I am very upset about my Teas Scores, I thought I did better. English is not my first language, so that is hard for me. I really hope I can get in! I am going to apply anyway and leave the rest upto GOD!
