TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

So I just had my advising appointment and two interesting things came out of it.

1. The admissions score they have is higher than what I was expecting. I have the exact same information in the worksheet they have, but she said my score was 3 points higher so it’s like 59 something.

2. She said the N&W applicants will find out their admission decision at the same time as the traditional in late March or early April. This is different than what I’ve seen on the boards for previous years. Now she did say she wasn’t there last year for this process and this is how she understand the process will go. Has anyone heard differently?

I submitted my application yesterday, I wanted to re-take my TEAS but time did not allow this semester.

Nursing GPA: 4.00

Prerequisite GPA: 4.00

TEAS Scores:

Overall Composite: 84.0

Reading: 95.7

Math: 87.5

Science: 70.2

Language: 87.5

Overall Admission Score: 48.3

Really doubt that I'll get in due to my TEAS scores and the fact that I'm a transfer student. I was really dissapointed in myself because I know I could've done way better. I still submitted my application though since I worked so hard for this. I'll probably be applying again for 2020 Spring semester, but good luck to everyone. Wishing you all acceptance!

hmmm, my advising appt isn't until tomorrow (morning) so i will also ask about when N&W applicants will find out....I'll have her double check my admission score too, but im pretty sure mine is correct, i could only hope its 3 points higher ? but that's great you have a good score, im sure you'll get in w/no issues.

are you applying to the dallas or houston campus?

So she sent me the worksheet and they had my TEAS scores wrong!!! So my score is the 56 and she said it’s still competitive so we will see what happens.
