Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Does anyone know the lowest admission score accepted for the traditional program in Dallas? I saw someone post that the lowest admission score accepted in Spring of 2018 was 51...i'm really close to that score so i'm not sure whether to apply for dallas which I prefer or Houston

the lowest admission score accepted depends on the applicant pool for that cycle, but for spring 2019 the lowest admitted for Dallas was 51.9 and for Houston it was 45.3

Here are the stats from Fall 2018. Found this on their thread last week.

Preliminary stats/averages for Fall 2018 are as follows:

Dallas Traditional

Lowest admitted score: 54.4

 Avg. GPA: 3.78

 Avg. TEAS: 93.4%

Houston Traditional

Lowest admitted score: 39.4

Avg. GPA: 3.64

 Avg. TEAS: 85.6

Dallas Weekend/Evening

Lowest admitted score: 48.3

Avg. GPA: 3.77

 Avg. TEAS: 87.6

i feel like Houston lowest admitted score is "lower" in the fall and "higher" in the spring, just off my observation, but you never know...and i feel like its "higher" in the fall for Dallas and "lower" in the spring...im just soooo ready to know! lol

Agreed. From what I’ve seen, Dallas is more competitive in the fall. My theory is it’s higher because more traditional undergrad students are applying during this time if they have followed the normal course plan. It’s pretty much the same for any program. The fall is more competitive than the spring.

i'm just hoping the cutoff score for the N&W program is around the same as last semester or lower! LOL i browsed back til around 2015 and it seems that i have a good chance BUT you just NEVER know! i hope that let N&W know around the end of Feb like last time!

What’s your admission score? I also applied for the evening/ weekend program. My score is 52.4

I scheduled an advising appointment on January 31 to double check on my scores and make sure there is no issues with my application. I really hope that I get in this time, I’ve applied the last three application rounds and unfortunately did not get in ?
