TWU - Houston - Fall 2012

Hey guys! I don't know what happened to the last thread but I wanted to create a new one! Anyone out there applying for Fall 2012 to the Houston campus? I'm super excited and have all my stuff taken care of minus my Fall 2011 transcripts! I wish everyone the best of luck and hope we all get in!

is anyone going to be commuting from the woodlands? i checkout out the woodlands express but the website is hard to understand and i think that unless you are down there all day, there are no buses running in the afternoon.

any suggestions on park and rides from woodlands to med center?

yes i'm planning on taking the bus in the woodlands. it's the park and ride that's off budde road..but i haven't really looked into the details yet. i looked at the website too and it is a little confusing.

Ok so I looked at the Woodlands Express and it's like $10/day which is expensive. Plus not having the return bus until late is a problem. I found the Spring Park and Ride will be the best option for me. Students receive half off fares. So it will only be $5-$6/day round trip. And not having to pay parking fees of $10 is nice. Also, since it's Metro instead of the independent Woodlands system they do have many options for afternoon. I think classes will get out at 12 some days so I didn't want to be stuck downtown til 4 ya know?

You may want to look at Metro park and ride options closer to the woodlands if you live farther north. I'm at 45 and Louetta.

I believe it is around 90 for Houston and 100-110 for Dallas. I'm actually applying for Dallas but there's not much activity going on over in our thread so here I am! Haha

Has anyone received any emails or anything from TWU besides the one that states they have received your application? I have heard something from all the schools that I have applied to except TWU! Just wondering! : ) Semi-patiently waiting!!!

Yes I got an email! But it wasn't a reject/acceptance email lol it just asked if I'll be core complete by the time I start the program.Did anybody else get this email?

When are we supposed to find out if we received one of the TWU scholarships?

Scrubb,On my scholarship page it says the name of the award and next to it says applied for. Next to the new transfer scholarship it changed to "pending". Maybe if we get awarded the boxes will change again and let us know!
