I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
and btw guys I'm sorry i didnt get to meet any of you last friday, me and my friend decided to go find the nightlife in houston when we arrived at 11:00 pm....haha soooo i was really tired and ready to figure out where the hell i was gonna live!!!! How did everybody's apartment searches go? There's so many places out there and I confirmed that having a one bedroom is gonna be just as expensive as i thought!! But i'm hoping that getting a one bedroom apt. won't leave me out of the loop cuz I wanna make some good friends out there! (and not ruin friendships by living with someone!! haha been there done that!)
For the people taking patho this summer what does the cover of the book look like?? I might buy it for real cheap and use it as a reference. I found it for 60 but wanna make sure its the right one
is there any way we can get the book list for patho from the teacher, I know the list was posted here but what if it has changed?...i just want to be sure because i dont want to buy the wrong book.
Go to the bookstore in houston the one they told us to go to, tell them your section number and course #, you dont have to buy it there but you can see what it looks like and make sure your getting the right one online if you choose
thanks! we were trying to figure out on the TWU Spring 2010 thread how many were going to be accepted in Dallas since fast track is in Houston next summer. I thought it was 100, but some one mentioned it would be less, like 80. which sucks. I hope I get in.
