I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
So I spoke with someone(working at the houston campus) who said patho has to be taken at the houston campus, but that doesn't make sense to me! It's the same class and call number as the one that's offered in Denton during this summer! ahhhh, somebody shoot me
That does make me feel better, but I get worried about having our butts handed to us. I'm just hoping I can find someone else from north texas who wants to commute to take it...I could alternate driving down there, but Idk if I could do it ten thursdays ya know?
getting one course of your way is definitely good. However, it will be hard for you to find a study buddy. So it is your call. Hope everything works out for you.
I guess they do that murse so that all the dallas people will have a seat if they wish to take it over the summer. Depending on how money is looking and how much this class will cost I might have to take it during the fall as well.
Murse, It's ok if you can't take it inthe summer. Alot of us will take it this summer so we'll keep our notes and tips and stuff for you. But I hope you'll find someone to carpool with so that you could possibly take it this summer.
