Hello, my name's Tien and I'm going to apply for TWU Houston Fall 14'. I noticed there's a topic for Dallas but none for Houston so I'm starting this one, hoping it will be a place for us hopeful applicants to come and share information.
BTW, my stats are: GPA 3.892, TEAS V 85.3%, 2/4 first attempt, and previous BA in Business. I'm scared b/c of my "1st attempt" since I see most that got in have 3 or 4/4 ...
It was a lot money applying because one school require hesi the other TEAS. I wanted to do traditional but they only offer accelerated now! UT health is a great program and the only con I can think of there won't be a summer break
Any suggestions on where to live? I prefer not living close to the medical center due to high living cost. I'm coming from Dallas and don't know anything about Houston.

I haven't heard anything yet, but everyone had until yesterday to accept/decline. I think our information will now be sent to Houston Nursing Department and we will receive our additional stuff from them. I was told that, if accepted, I could take Pathophysiology during the summer, was anyone else told this? I am worried because you have to have department permission to enroll, but they don't even have our information yet to process and registration starts today.
I was wondering about that too Hoop! I actually went up there and talked to the ladies at the admissions front desk and they insisted that TWU Houston does NOT offer patho over the summer. I finally convinced them check webadvisor and they saw the class and told me they were unsure how to go about registering for the class. So I am going to call/email today and see if I can get any info. on how to go about registering.

It is graduate students who can register now, Seniors can register starting April 8, and then us on the 15th. To register for that summer patho class I was told we need a 5 digit "course code" which we can only get after we meet with our Nursing advisors. I asked if I could set up an apt to meet with an advisor this week, and I was told I need to wait for the big info packet that we should be getting in the mail. Info about our advisor and meet dates will me in there.
