Hello all!
I am currently in the process of applying to TWU's weekend program for Fall 2012 and I just wanted to start a new thread for any prospective TWU nursing students as well as current students!
For those of you who don't know, TWU has a weekend program for students with a previous bachelor degree in another field. From what I understand, if you are not selected for the weekend program, they will automatically consider you for the traditional program as well.
The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 with the TEAS V entrance exam also required in order to apply..and of course you also have to complete the required pre-requisite courses.
Here is a link to the program for more information: http://www.twu.edu/nursing/weekend-program.asp
If anyone else has any more detailed information regarding this program, your input is certainly welcome. I hope this thread is helpful for anyone considering nursing school at TWU. :)
hello all hopefuls!
i am a current pre-nursing student at twu denton. i applied to the twu dallascampus for this spring 2012, but my teas score wasn't even considered because i blew it with a 62. i re-took it jan.13th and scored 70%. can't say i am too satisfied with it, but i will have to stick with it for now. however, i know many students who were accepted and scored the minimum passing score of 64%. i have a 4.1 with the gpa bump and all a's on first attempts, except for a&p 2 lab; i actually ended up with a c in that course (horrible professor). my science gpa is still competitive so hopefully that will get me in! i also applied to uta, utmb, and uthsc san antonio. please feel free to reply! i am open to connecting with you all as we await this stressful period! please feel free to reply!
@nela87: i am getting worried about my teas score after reading your post, but every applicant pool varies so we will just have to see! if not, hopefully my gpa can make up for it!

just a terms of service reminder.........
while it is important to be able to network, we ask that you not post names or initials of others, including school staff, on the public board. it is better to communicate this type of information via private message. maintaining the privacy of others is important.
thanks for understanding.

But there were some whose TEASs were on 60s got accepted too, so I think it still depends on several factors. Ms.******* said they'll send acceptance/rejection letter at the end of March. Its gonna be a long spring !
