Hi everybody!!! I just wanted to see if a previous thread for TWU Fall 2015 has been started,if not I wanted to start one. Is there anybody else planning to apply for this program? Also where is everybody at with TEAS testing and pre reqs??Any feedback is appreciated!!!

I am so glad I found you guys. I wont be dealing with this anxiety by myself anymore :)

I applied to TWU Dallas campus for Fall 2015.

My advisor told me I had a higher chance of being accepted into the Houston campus but I have a husband and 2 kids. Relocation would be hard task.

GPA: 3.22

TEAS: 82.7

Reading:85.7

Math:86.7

Science: 79.2

English:80

TWU preference

With those scores I really doubt I would get in but I am still applying :(

I heard Houston was a lot easier to get into also. Sadly, I don't have the option of relocating :(. I just received an email from TWU that they received and evaluated my transcripts, so now.... I wait haha. I'm sure someone has already mentioned it, but does anyone know when the letters will be sent out?

I don't know if it will be the same but last semester accepted students were notified about a month and half after the deadline. So we should know by the end of March.

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to join the thread. I applied to Dallas for Fall 2015!

My GPA~ 3.92

Teas V~ 74 over all... :( not good but I hope my grades compensate for it.

Wow, I Feel so overwhelmed with emotion from this process. I have a 3.85 GPA but scored a 72 on the TEAS ( I don't do very well on timed tests) my concern is the website says that you need to get a 64 on each section and I only got a 63.3 on Math. (totally ran out of time) ugh but my original TWU acceptance letter says I need a total composite score of a min of 64. So am I totally out of the running? I so badly want to go the night and weekend program.

They recently changed it to TEAS V score of 64% or higher on all sections :(

unfortunately that means having to wait until next year to apply again:grumpy:. When is taking the test again considered the next application cycle?

I'm so sorry! You can take the test again anywhere between Feb 1st and Sep 1st and reapply. Good luck!

I am correct in saying that TWU is the only school with a night and weekend program in this area? I am completely frustrated with this situation.

@Campbell24 Tarrant County College has a weekend program but its for ADN.

Ladies I am so sorry I appear like a huge downer when everyone is anticipating their exciting news. This career change is one I don't have a lot of support on. I am 36 work full time have 2 kids and will probably be taking a pay-cut to become a nurse but it's all I want to do. I feel like a complete failure. It's one thing to be beaten out in a class by better applicants but to not even be considered for less than a point. It is killing me.
