TWU FALL 2015

Published

Hi everybody!!! I just wanted to see if a previous thread for TWU Fall 2015 has been started,if not I wanted to start one. Is there anybody else planning to apply for this program? Also where is everybody at with TEAS testing and pre reqs??Any feedback is appreciated!!!

How would you recommend we prep for the TEAS? I will retake it again, before applying. I studied for a month and I feel it wasn't enough, any recommendations are appreciated!!!

Hi LeJones!!! Congrats on starting in the Spring!!!!!Thanks for offering to answer our questions. What are your recommendations for studying strageties, I am going to give it another shot and just wait to submit my application, but I do need testing guidance. I studied the review book a month prior to testing and did not get the scores I wanted.

I bought the practice tests through ATI (2 came with the package I bought). I did one test without studying so that I could see my strong points. That way I didn't have to waste my time reviewing things I already knew. I studied Math via youtube videos and other helpful websites that show you short cuts on long divison, algebra, fractions etc. I also bought the ATI study book and read the helpful hints for reading passages and how to them more efficiently. When I took my TEAS, I remained calm and confident and went at my own past. I ended up having time left at the end of each section- I either knew the question or I didn't and wasn't going to stress myself out and sit on the ones I didn't know for forever.

I think you should only focus on the things you don't know.

Yes, they give consideration to those who hold a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Hey everyone,

I applied to TWU Houston for Fall 2015. My TEAS was an 84%-my recommendations for studying is start early, buy the study guide ATI offers-the test is set up the EXACT same way. It was a great study tool, also make sure you go through every single page and complete the online sample exams. It was a great help!

Hello everyone! Just submitted my application yesterday and hopefully it will be the last time I have to. I just retook the TEAS, and I got A's in all sections but the science. Good luck to everyone who is applying! I've include my stats for both attempts below.

GPA: 3.0

TEAS V: 82

2nd attempt

Hello everyone,

I am so glad I found you guys. I wont be dealing with this anxiety by myself anymore :)

I applied to TWU Dallas campus for Fall 2015.

My advisor told me I had a higher chance of being accepted into the Houston campus but I have a husband and 2 kids. Relocation would be hard task.

GPA: 3.22

TEAS: 82.7

Reading:85.7

Math:86.7

Science: 79.2

English:80

With those scores I really doubt I would get in but I am still applying :(

Good luck everyone :)
