Hi breng02, I will be applying to TWU. Hoping for the Houston campus but open to Dallas and Denton. I am taking my TEAS in January and still have 2 prerequisites to take. I'm nervous about applying and the TEAS. My gpa is 3.5. I really hope to get in and do well on my TEAS. Anyone with study tips on how to get a great score please share, definitely shooting for 80% or higher. How's your process going breng02?
Hi MissKall, I am done with pre-reqs. I took the TEAS two weeks ago, I didn't get the grade I wanted but I am still applying. My gpa is a 3.57, so I don't think I will get in but I am still giving it a shot. The TEAS was just so different than what I expected, I bought the study guide and studied for a month and my results still were not what I wanted. I wish you the very best!!!!!!I hope your TEAS goes better than mine!!!!!Kind of frustrated because I did dedicate the time and I feel the questions were so randomized on the Science portion, nothing of what was in my book was on there!!!!
I agree with breng02! This actually a repeat of the TEAS for me, my first time didn't go well at all. It's a lot more difficult to me than the HESI which I did very well in and found easy. The TEAS is very random and I don't feel the guide helps much. I'm definitely praying to score higher this time. Are you appying to all campuses? Do you know any students in the program or applying?

FYI: I have 2 usernames on here so MissKAL and KALFRN are both me lol. Had to get a new name since I was locked out my old one ??
I will only apply to the Dallas campus since I am interested in the weekend program, I hope you get a better score this time around!!! I don't know anyone who is in the actual program or applying so it's really hard to get information but all we can do is try and like you said PRAY! I am also applying to community colleges although its not my ideal, I have to just give it my best and attempt getting in anywhere!!!
Agreed
I am applying to ADN programs as well but really hoping for the BSN. The weekend program seems interesting. How does that work? I'm willing to take wherever I get in. But really hope I get into TWU or UTMB. This whole process is scary at times. I'm gonna try to study hard as I can and do well on my TEAS so thank you for the well wishes.

Hey guys! I am a new J1 student starting this Spring in Dallas! If you have any questions, I will be glad to try and help. I do know you can only apply to one campus at a time, so it's either Houston or Dallas.
Hi LEJones! Thank you for your response. If you don't mind me asking what were your stats? Did you have to interview? And I know we can only pick one campus but wonder if we don't get selected for that one can we be considered for the other.
@KALFRN14 Sure! It was my first time applying and I had a 3.7 GPA and an 88% on my TEAS. They look at each section now instead of just the overall so luckily I did well on each (if you want to know those scores, I can provide them for you). There is not an interview process- they look at GPA and TEAS score only. If you don't get accepted into one campus, you can't roll your application over to the other campus. You will have to reapply the next time.
I do know that Houston isn't as competitive as Dallas. When I went to the information session in April this year, the GPA averages were between 3.6-3.7 for Houston and about an average of 3.8 in Dallas. Don't let that discourage you! That's just an average and students can be accepted with GPA's of all sorts.

Hey guys I'm also applying to TWU Dallas for the Fall 2015 semester. This is actually the second time I'll be applying, last semester I didn't get in. Hopefully this time it will be different. Good luck to every one! My GPA is a 3.89 and 85 on the TEAS, and I don't have the bachelor's or the TWU preference. I will be a transfer student from TCC.
