TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

So do we have to buy All the books she posted?

Thanks missmoe! I don't have any sisters. I have 1 older brother who is 31 and 1 little brother who is 20. I'm the middle child and the only girl. My dad wanted me to be a nun (lol, just some random info about me, lol!). I have an older niece who just turned 13 and a nephew who just turned 12 (they're both my older brother's kids). This is my little brother's first baby. Yeah, I thought she was going to look like a little alien, but she didn't :) I'm just so excited about a new baby in the family, you know, since I won't be having any until we are done with school :D

Uh oh Ryan! Graves????? EEEEK!

ummm...what books!! Who is this "she" you are referring to? Is this one of those moments where someone knows something that I should already know?

I got the email too.

Barbara Baulder emailed us the list of books for the fall semester.. PM me your email address & I'll send it to you if you cant find it.

Wow it's about $200 for 7 books/study guides. YAY

When I priced them online with Matthew's they were $333. I need to research Amazon for a cheaper price.

Specializes in Transplant, LVAD, cardiac.

I checked Amazon. For all new books, including the recommended book, it's just over $300.

In other news...I'm listening to the lecture from Thursday because I was in Never-Never Land for most of class. She spends a significant amount of time talking about the functions of hormones and blah blah blah...things we should have learned in A&P. Do you think she'll ask functional questions, or should I skip this and get to the disorders?

You can go ahead and check out what books we need for pharmacology too! Go to: http://www.webmedbooks.com/uthnursing/CourseBooks/viewcourses.aspx/ct=63203/de=239812

Course 3005 is Concepts/clinical Competencies

Course 3813 is Pharmacology

I bought all my books for both classes using Half.com, Ebay.com or Amazon.com and spent a total of $346 for ALL of the books.

hope that helps out the people who like to get things done early :specs:

I would LOVE to buy my books now, but, no tangible $$ yet.

Hmmm, don't think she would ask functional questions, but then again, we never know with her...
