Hey guys, I know it's a little early, however, I decided to start this thread as the application process will be soon upon us.

How are you studying for the TEAS?

Congratulations to all that made the evening/weekend program. I was disappointed to not make it, but it looks like some very deserving people did! Best of luck in the fall. I am holding onto hope that I could potentially make the traditional program. If not, I will work on increasing my TEAS scores and apply for the Spring.

Reading 91.5%

Boost for previous Bachelors

No classes at TWU

I have 2 classes (A&P 1 and Nutrition) I could retake to bring grades from B to A and get my nursing core GPA up to 4.0 but the idea of taking A&P again after 10 years does not sound like much fun lol. There is opportunity to increase my admission score significantly by bringing my science and english grades up on the TEAS....will see how things play out for the traditional program and then make some decisions from there.

This is a life career change for me (and I am 47 YO). I want to get in and out of school to be working my new career as close to my 50th birthday as possible. I am also looking at other programs if the traditional program here doesn't work out...

Hello! I was also accepted into the Nights/Weekends Program and have sent a request to join the group. Several years ago, I went through one semester of UTA Arlington's accelerated program, but the clinicals did not stay on the weekends and I needed to keep my day job, so I had to drop out :( My backup plan if I didn't get into TWU's Nights/Weekends Program was Corpus Christi's online program...it appears that the classes are online and they do their best to get you clinicals in the DFW area, but that's all I know.

This is a second career for me as well. I've worked in my current role as a Program Specialist at a non-profit for 16 years, but have wanted a change for a while. I simply need to be able to work and go to school...mortgages don't pay themselves, unfortunately!

I see that stats are commonly asked (I've read the posts but didn't want to join unless I was accepted...lol), so they are provided below:

Nursing Core GPA: 4.0

Prereq GPA: 3.83

TEAS Composite: 91.3

Reading: 89.4

Math: 96.9

Science: 91.5

English: 83.3

Admission Score: 55.03

No TWU or prior Bachelor's bumps

Can't wait to meet my new classmates and wish good luck to all those that are waiting to hear or that are making new plans (just keep swimming!).

I applied to TWU Dallas traditional last year and was not accepted. I am applying this year to TWU Houston traditional. I am hoping to get accepted this time around! Here are my stats.

Math: 93.8

Science: 87.2

English: 75.0

Admission Score: 45.17

No TWU or prior Bachelor's bumps

I work full time and have a son so I needed to get into the N/W program.

We have almost the exact number of points. I am super nervous because I feel like we might be short a couple of points and that really gets to me. Are you going to be applying for the Spring if you do not get in the Fall?
