TWU fall 2023 applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

If you don't have your records then you have to redo them all. That's the position I'm in and I started the whole list of them a few months ago all over again so I have records to submit.

You just gave to have them all done before the semester starts that you are enrolling for.

Yes, and some of them take 6 months to complete. Definitely make an appointment asap.

The longest should be the hep b series + titer, which is 7 months at the absolute fastest. The rest can be done within that time. So getting the first round done in January is pretty crucial for August enrollment.

Do you think we can take Hepatitis A & B Combination Vaccine, or take Hepatitis A vaccine and Hepatitis B vaccine separately? Will TWU accept it?

So I cannot find the record showing I took Hep B third shot, but I have a record of a positive titer. Will they just accept the titer?

I am doing the a/b combo vaccine since it doesn't state a specific version of either and just says how many doses are needed of each. I sure hope that satisfies the requirements!!

I'm not from Texas, and I'm trying to apply for transfer scholarships for this Fall 2023 semester on TWU scholarship portal, but I don't know why they don't let me do it, even though the due date for scholarship is 01/31/2023. Does anybody have the same issue? What should I do?

Have you already filled out the general scholarship application? I believe I remember seeing that you have to fill out the general scholarship application before being able to submit further individual applications.

Is anyone currently taking Pathophysiology at TWU while waiting to be accepted?

I'm taking it this semester.

I created my general application already, but I could not submit it. It's weird. ?

They will, cause positive titer result means you are "immune" to the virus, so no need for the shot record. That's what a faculty in TWU Health service told me.

I took it last semester with Dr. Serrano, she was great and tests was based on lecture, extremely recommended her.

I just submitted it, did you reach out to them ?

You can take Patho before being accepted? My plan was to apply this application period, I have my application ready to submit. I just need to take the TEAS and there isn't any exams until 2/2/23. So bummed!
