Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

Were you all able to speak with an advisor? And how did get ahold of them? I have tried calling and emailing multiple times over the past couple months and have gotten no response.
I am currently twu student and they are only advising for 2023 registration for right now and not able to meet with students for nursingCAS application reviews.

I got an email this morning saying to make sure background checks are submitted by the app. deadline.
Email: " We now require that all applicants submit a background check through Castlebranch as part of their application. Background checks must be completed or in progress by the application deadline. The instructions are listed on the homepage of the application, please make sure to read the application thoroughly. Find detailed instructions here for initiating your background check. Within the instructions, please choose the XA12bg Dallas campus code or the XA17bg Houston campus code, depending on which campus you are applying to. Please attend to this expediently to avoid delays in the program admission and course registration as this process may take 3-4 weeks to complete. Please use your TWU email address to create a Castlebranch account. "

Dear [my name]:
We hope this email finds you well. As the application deadline for Fall 2023 admission quickly approaches us on February 1, 2023, we've outlined several reminders below regarding applying to the upper-division BSN in Nursing program at Texas Woman's University.
All NursingCAS applications must be submitted no later than 10:59pm CST on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
All official transcripts must be sent to the TWU Office of Admissions Processing and NursingCAS. NursingCAS will verify your transcript entry for each course you've completed. Again, official transcripts must be sent to both. International student applicants will not have to submit an evaluation to NursingCAS, but please still send official transcripts to NursingCAS of all coursework completed at a domestic (U.S.) institution. Ensure you are admitted to TWU and have received your Colleague (student ID #) from the TWU Office of Admissions before submitting your NursingCAS application as you must include this number and your social security number within your NursingCAS application.

Please note your application WILL NOT be processed if you have not completed all nursing core prerequisites with a "C" or better in the science courses. Also, you must have an overall minimum cumulative and nursing prerequisite GPA of a 3.0 for admission consideration.
Applicants will be notified mid-to-late April of admission decisions given processing time.

Ohhh see. But I ordered my background check on Jan. 10th, and it is still pending. I don't think it would complete by the deadline. Will it affect my application?

That's odd, I ordered on Jan 9 and got the result back on Jan 12. Maybe try to contact Castlebranch to make sure they have your order?
Hong Nguyet Tran said:I've just checked my MyCB account and seen my result there, and they didn't send me any emails for it at all ?. So how and where did you submit your background check result?
Thank you!
LOL! I don't think you need to submit, they can access it from their own portal as long as you put in the right code for Dallas campus.
