TWU Fall 2021 Applicants

Published

Hello Everyone,

I have been looking to see if someone would make a forum for us that are applying for the fall 2021 Texas Woman's University nursing program. Since I have not found one I decided to make one. So let's get this forum started! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Have you taken your TEAS and if so what was your score? If you have any questions or any information you would like to share please do! I am applying to Dallas and I have yet to take the TEAS.

Hey everyone! I'm checking back in after taking a little break. I was feeling pretty discouraged about my admission score. Well, after sulking, I am ready to accept that I won't make it for the Fall 2021 cohort. With that said, I was already accepted last Summer of 2020 so am able to register for courses. My question is: would it be wise to register for pathophysiology via TWU Dallas over Summer (if I am even allowed to) and would that make a difference as far as added points when I retake my TEAS and reapply for Spring 2022? No previous Bachelor's or TWU boost. Thanks! ?

Pathophysiology is also offered online at the Denton campus and there shouldn’t be any problem with you being able to register in taking it if you are already an enrolled TWU student. As far as making a difference in preference points, it would not unless you have completed at least 16 credit hours at TWU. Are you still wanting to attend the N/W program when reapplying? I know that this program is not offered during the Spring application cycle, only Fall.

On a brighter note, I wouldn’t lose faith just yet in being accepted this time around. From what I saw in the Fall 2020 application cycle for N/W, there were some who got in with scores as low as 39. ?

Hey y'all my name is Bethannie and I am applying to the Weekend program in Dallas. (Sorry I'm super late to this thread LOL)

I have also received my eligibility letter and now am waiting for my acceptance or rejection letter.

Hey Bethannie,

When did you get your eligibility email?

I got mine on Feb 24th!

Hi guys. I got my eligibility e-mail this Wednesday (March 10th). I applied for Dallas Traditional. Do not worry if you haven’t gotten your eligibility email!! From what I gather from the email I received, they’ll continue processing applications into April.

Hello all - I received my eligibility email yesterday (Dallas Traditional). Keep up the faith, they are still working through the list.

I applied with a prior degree and pre-reqs from Collin College, so I know it wasn't as straightforward.

I received my eligibility email for TWU Dallas nights and weekend program yesterday (mar 16) around 1:36 pm!

Thank you! That makes me feel better! ❤️

It would be wise as far as lessening the load during your J1 semester, however no extra preference or points are typically awarded. Also, the Spring application cycle will be holistic and not just point based anymore.

right. I wonder if prior hospital employment would help with consideration.

Does anyone know the average points of people that got accepted in the Houston campus previous years?

Anyone else still waiting on their eligibility email?

Hey guys!!

My name is Sara Myers and I am currently a TWU WEP student in my second semester. I've been peeping in here the last few days waiting to see when y'all get acceptance letters so I can creep into the facebook groups you'll make when admitted. I am on the board of TWU's chapter of the National Student Nursing Organization (CES) and need to be involved with the cohort that comes in behind ours.

ANYWAY, I just want to say "hi!" and let you all know I was EXACTLY where you are last year (and the year before that actually because I did not get in on my first application cycle).

Soon you will be where I am now! I hope you don't have to be tortured too much longer, but they usually send out the letters on a Friday.

Let me know if you have any questions, in nursing school you will rely on your classmates for information/help, we become one huge dysfunctional family for sure.
