Baylor Scott White Residency Summer 2023
Mine was at Dallas. Everyone was so nice and it only took about an hour. Make sure you bring ALL your vaccine records if you can, including flu and covid. You also need to bring 2 forms of ID to verify your I-9. I took a drug test and they did a blood draw for a TB test. There's also a lot of paperwork to fill out. You'll also get your photo taken for your badge. Thank you, this makes me feel so much better!

Baylor Scott White Residency Summer 2023
Hi guys... I received and accepted an offer at Baylor. I had my employee health appt and did my tasks online. However I haven't been able to reach the recruiter who sent me the offer and I have not heard from anyone since I accepted the offer/went to my employee health appt. It's making me a little nervous... is anyone else having this experience?

AP Classes on transcript but did not receive college credit for them
Hi! I had the same problem a couple years ago and reached out to them and this is what they told me: 1. If they have been mentioned under a particular term then enter the same or else you can just enter them under the FRESHMAN term of your application. 2. Course code- N/A, course name- as per the transcripts or TEST CREDITS. 3. Subject- TEST CREDIT, credits- same as per your transcripts, Grades- CR. - again this was a couple years ago so it might be different. You might have to reach out to their support team. Good luck with your applications! :)

Mother/Baby VS Gen Peds: Insight for an anxious nursing student
Wow!! Thank you so much, I loved reading your post. I had my rotations in a mother baby unit and now I am almost certain that is what I want to do. I say “almost” because I haven’t had my pediatric rotations yet… but after hearing a lot of insight from here and other nurses, I really do think mother baby is for me. I absolutely love it. Your day breakdown is very similar to what I’ve seen/done in clinical. Thank you again!

Mother/Baby VS Gen Peds: Insight for an anxious nursing student
Hello! I am a nursing student and was wondering if any mother/baby nurses and/or gen peds nurses could share their experiences. I am really interested in Mother/Baby (PP) nursing for many reasons. For one, I love the emphasis this unit has on patient education. I like how on this unit, patients are generally "well" so I do not imagine this to be an emotionally draining job. As you can see, I am not really interested in anything high acuity such as ICU. Also, I do not mind that this unit is heavily task/charting oriented! I am also really passionate about pediatrics, specifically gen peds. I must be honest though, I am naturally a very anxious person and painfully empathetic. I think I can handle many things, but seeing death in pediatrics I think would be particularly traumatizing. In all honesty, I also really love peds hem/onc but I just do not think I can handle the lows of the unit, and I am not even sure how I'd handle the lows of gen peds. I am not afraid of some poop, vomit, needles, blood, wounds, pee, or anything. I just don't wanna be emotionally drained and I want to be able to leave work at work. I would love to hear some insight/experience of nurses or other healthcare workers who have worked in these units. ?

TWU Fall 2021 Applicants
Hello! The deadline to apply for Spring 2022 was August 15th. However, the deadline for Fall 2022 is February 1st, so you should definitely apply for that! Technically, you cannot apply to both Houston and Dallas. However, if applying for Dallas, there may be a box that you can check that basically says if you do not get into Dallas, you can be considered for Houston. Your GPA sounds great! I studied for the TEAS using the ATI TEAS study guide book and it helped me a LOT and had a lot of great strategies. TWU nursing used to be based entirely off admission scores, but that has actually changed and it's based off of other criteria as well. I am not entirely sure what that criteria is, perhaps things like volunteer work, so if you can get some hours in that would be helpful to you too. ?

TWU Fall 2021 Applicants
My last name starts with D, I applied for Dallas traditional and haven’t gotten my Eligibility letter yet either. I heard it doesn’t go in alphabetical order so I’m not too worried, aside from the anticipation!

TWU Fall 2021 Applicants
I applied for Dallas Traditional and I’m still waiting on my eligibility letter. I am worried about not having enough credit hours (I have finished all required courses to apply & I have 50 credit hours, however not all of them are required for TWU so I may not have enough prerequisite credit hours?).

Texas State Fall 2021 / St. Davids Nursing School
Maybe it’s because I’m a transfer student but I haven’t been able to find anyone who’s applying which is why I made this post. ?
