TWU Fall 2021 Applicants

Hello Everyone,

I have been looking to see if someone would make a forum for us that are applying for the fall 2021 Texas Woman's University nursing program. Since I have not found one I decided to make one. So let's get this forum started! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Have you taken your TEAS and if so what was your score? If you have any questions or any information you would like to share please do! I am applying to Dallas and I have yet to take the TEAS.

Hi Mexy! I applied in the same cycle as rnwishing and I'm currently a J1 at the Houston Campus.

The deadline was August 20th (special extension for COVID) and got my eligibility email on October 5th. Decisions went out on November 10th.

It was at least a month. 
We submitted apps 8/20, I think eligibility might have been in early September and then acceptances went out November 10th and as people accepted/declined their spot I think someone got off the waitlist the second week of classes this January which is crazy. 
 

part of that I think is that it took much longer than other schools for acceptances to go out for Spring. Which is why I anticipate it being the same for fall with us ? that’s why I wouldn’t get your hopes up to get a decision before mid April

I got accepted in Spring (Houston ?)

 

Application deadline: aug 20

eligibility  letter sent: sept 16

admission letter sent: nov 10

 

I think I had around a 57 admission score.

I applied to Houston. 
 

In Spring I applied with 3.6 science GPA, 82 TEAS for a score of 38

 

this fall I applied with

3.8 science GPA

90 TEAS

50.9 score

Mine was verified as well, though this is just NursingCas verifying our transcripts. Still have to nervously wait for eligibility, ahhh!

I received my eligibility letter from the TWU Nursing Admissions Staff 2/8. So a week after the application deadline. I most likely received mine earlier because I sent my application in early (End of November/ Early December). I received it via email and it said that all my admission requirements have been confirmed and that I am eligible for admission consideration. So my guess is that they are going in order of how they received the application.

I think it is going to take time to get applications verified, especially if you submitted close to the deadline. Nursingcas is probably going in order of how they received applications. And they might also be doing verifications for other schools simultaneously.  I submitted mine very early, when barely anyone was applying yet so I got verified in less than 24 hours. No worries though, they'll get to it!
