Hello Everyone,

I have been looking to see if someone would make a forum for us that are applying for the fall 2021 Texas Woman's University nursing program. Since I have not found one I decided to make one. So let's get this forum started! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Have you taken your TEAS and if so what was your score? If you have any questions or any information you would like to share please do! I am applying to Dallas and I have yet to take the TEAS.

I plan to submit my NURSINGCAS today or tomorrow.

I have an overall admission score of 58.4

Core GPA: 4.0

previous degree

TEAS: 88

I am waiting for my advisor to reply to me about those essay questions in NursingCas. I am not sure if they will affect the admission decision or not.

Hi, your score look great! 

I believe the essay does not affect admission decision. You can look at previous pages; there is a student confirm this with an advisor. 

Quick question: If I switch entry semester to Summer, Do I still receive transfer scholarship? Anyone knows?

so I have heard, that after getting CNA certification, you have 6 mos to find a job for active license; or else your license expires. Is it true?

And you have about 2 years after course completion to take exam?

No, it’s actually...

12 months after course completion to take the state test

and you have to work and do 24 hours of in service (like CE) to renew after 2 years 

if you don’t use your license you can’t renew

so let say I don't use the license for 1 year and find a job a year later. Is my license still active?

hey guys! do yall happen to know if we have to be accepted into the school before submitting the nursingcas application?

 

I submitted my applytexas application and set up my pioneer portal account. It said they recieved everything they needed so my application is still under review. Will my application still be considered if my acceptance is before the nursingcas deadline? ?

I believe yes. When I review your application, I will check if you are their student by then. But shoot an email for advisor to be safe. 
 

I am admitted, but I have an issue with my general application cause me to re-apply again. I email advisor; they said to make a note for me, and it will not interfere with my nursing app.

Which advisor did you email? I talked to someone in admissions and they had told me if I was still under review I could still apply due to COVID, but I just need confirmation. I'm honestly panicking because I have everything I need to submit my nursingcas application

I don't think I can mention name in Allnurse. But Google “nursing advisor twu”. Scroll down, you will see a list of nursing advisor and their email.

My application is on review too. But I talked to admission they said they try to accept all nursing student by deadline;  they will do their best (no guarantee).

Yall I just retook my TEAS and got a 96! WOO HOOO!! I have no preference and am trying to get into the Dallas Traditional program so I am THRILLED to have scored high.
