Hello Everyone,
I have been looking to see if someone would make a forum for us that are applying for the fall 2021 Texas Woman's University nursing program. Since I have not found one I decided to make one. So let's get this forum started! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Have you taken your TEAS and if so what was your score? If you have any questions or any information you would like to share please do! I am applying to Dallas and I have yet to take the TEAS.

My suggestion is to submit everything but the TEAS. Take it on the 30th and send in the better score that day. If you make 90 or above (I made an 89 with nursing pre-req 4.0) you should feel confident in your acceptance! I almost applied to Houston and would've moved down there because I was afraid my score wouldn't get me into Dallas. I'm SO glad I didn't do that. If all else fails, Spring semesters usually accept lower points than fall.
Appreciate your response! 89 is a really great score! I wouldn't mind Spring, tbh I haven't had a break in two years so I think my brain is kinda fried at this point XD I also have my entire application already filled out, transcripts ordered, etc. All left to do is submit the TEAS. So are you saying I am able to submit my application then submit my TEAS at a later date? ?

I took off a semester after I left UTD and it was great for a little bit. But I wasn't working at the time, so I actually got bored ?. And tbh I can't exactly remember. Are your transcripts verified? I'm pretty sure if they're verified before submitting then you should wait until the TEAS to submit. But if they don't verify until the application is submitted, then go ahead and send it in. Verification can take 2 weeks sometimes.

I feel that 100% which is exactly why I just continued throughout Summer and my breaks taking courses! Taking advantage of being at home during the pandemic has been in my favor! I checked NursingCAS and it says my transcript "Not Arrived". Do you suggest I go ahead and submit my application. But then am I able to submit my TEAS score afterwards? Thanks again!

Yes, I would submit with the TEAS you have now. And then you should be able to go back after and add new test scores and update "in progress" classes.
Heyyy, Please wait for your new TEAS then submit the whole application. Once you submit the whole application, you can't go back and update new score.

I am UTD student, too. I actually feel bored when all classes are online. I still taking class this Spring in UTD with pathophysiology. I hope it can be transferred to TWU.

Thank you so much! I am sure they will take Patho. I am taking it this semester as well at TCC, just to knock it out and save some money ?

I think you should follow suggested address. Also, go on twu admission office website to double check their address.

So, for the NursingCas question under achievements, certifications etc, if it says brief discription, what do I need to put?
I left that part blank so I'm not sure, but I think it sounds like you need to put a brief description of what your achievement/certification was.

Ahh, thank you for replying and your kind words! No previous Bachelor's. But I do have prior hospital employment / patient care experience (which I doubt they consider!) I actually had the TEAS scheduled 12/19 then decided not to waste my attempt because I was not ready with juggling finals /: Then I am not sure what happened the beginning of this month, a combination of holidays, not preparing long enough and anxiety during the test really messed up my score. Thanks for the advice! I just joined the FB Study Group and have the next 26 days planned out. I bought Brandon Craft's math workbook, watching Caroline McAllister, Khan Academy, NursingHub, Nursing App, Mometrix ATI Secrets, also honing in on the ATI Focused Review, so we'll see. I just checked on NursingCAS and there is no option for N/W, am I missing something? XD
